SPIRITUAL REZ is a 7-piece reggae horn funk dance party that has been tirelessly touring the country while commanding an extremely unique and high energy sound. Since 2003, the band has shared the stage with internationally touring acts such as Culture, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Buffett, Israel Vibration, Buju Banton and Jamaican Legends The Skatalites. They have also been lucky enough to play shows featuring Bernie Worrell (founding Parliamant Funkadelic member and keys for the Talking Heads) ..boards. Their EP, RISING IN THE EAST was released independantly in 2006 and the band plans a live album in the summer.

Very cool CD! Some of the more impressive instrumentals that I've ever heard on a reggae album. Love the horns!

Almost by divine intervention this old man discovered Spiritual Rez this evening at Uncle Festers in Bloomington, Indiana. If they can make this 65-year-old man shake his booty and sweat just think what their music can do for you. Awesome musicians who channel everyone from Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Eric Clapton, BB King, Chicago and more while creating their own unique signature music. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts. Funk on! Keep the love alive.

Yet another present for my boyfriend, since the Rez sound similar to Taylor & Ninth (a San Jose band we like). What they sound like is Sublime, with the reggae and funk turned way up, and yes Ska people feel right at home. Enjoy it with Malibu rum! We certainly have.
