Album Notes

Stephen Shipley's first album is an afternoon in the living museum that is America. It is a musical mirror held up to reveal pictures of the present and the past, the tried and true, the heart and soul of a great country and its people.

The people of Stephen's music are not politicians or statesmen, but simple, hard-working people who have made America what it is today.

The "Portraits" he paints with his music are quite simply your parents and grandparents. Wise, strong people whose codes and conduct formed our historical backbone. These people walk tall, cast long shadows, drift through our memories.

These "Portraits" are people we all recognize and Stephen Shipley makes us proud of them.

The term cannot begin to describe the experience of Stephen's poetry in Casio. His hopes, his loves, his life, his spirit - it changed my life, and it may just change yours. PS: I'm no longer a temp!
