Three years ago I stopped for an American bloke who was hitching along the Coromandel on a bleak day. He thanked me for the lift but I never got to thank him for the pressy he left behind in the ute. I popped the unintended gift, a CD, into the deck and in the deck is where that disk has spent most of the past three years. But my luck ran out a fortnight back when the blasted thing started skipping on me. That’s when I first gave any attention to the label – Sign On. It took me a week to figure out where to order Scott Sylvester’s CDs. It took another two weeks for those bits of plastic to make their way across the Pacific – I’m too cheap to spring for the speedy post. Today Sign On and Mr. Sylvester’s other two disks arrived. I gave each a listen through to check for skips. There are none. What the disks do have are lots of magic tracks. I can tell I’m going to get on with this new disk well. It is immediately accessible and gets better with every listen. So I’ll be sticking Mr. Clapton’s disk atop the heap on the passenger seat and Redemption Center will be in the deck keeping me company as I drive back up the Coromandel. If I see any American hitchhikers - I can spot you a mile away - I’ll stop. Take a listen to the sample clips. I’ll give you ten-to-one odds you’ll buy at least one of Scott Sylvester's disks. This album has a more poppy feel to it than Scott's older stuff. It's a little different but I dig it.

This is a killer album with tons of catchy tunes. Scott Sylvester is a huge talent with a tremendous voice. If you like acoustic-based pop-rock with lush production, layered vocals and harmonies, this will rock your world. An absolutely top-notch recording!

A worthy successor to "Sign On"! The music is addictive, the production sparkles and pulses with electricity and passion. Catch him live if you can, but in the meantime this is the next best thing!
