Album Notes

April Stace brought Harp 46 together in 1998 as a jazz trio, but they quickly morphed into something more spectacular and unique than anyone could have imagined. April brings her classical harp background and Irish music background to the celtic harp, fused with Posido's lyrical bass playing and the energy and complexity of Nucleo's percussion.

The music is a fusion of Celtic and Jazz, with African and Mid-eastern rhythms flowing underneath. At times the music is soothing and calming, and at times breathless and full of energy. Harp 46 found their signature sound immediately by simply bringing who they are as musicians to the table. Their eclectic backgrounds shine through in each track.

The trio, started in Maryland, recently located to Seattle, WA, where they are exploring the new music scene in front of them. The cd was finished in the summer of 2003 and they are looking forward to touring and performing the recorded material along with the new material they've written since.

REVIEWS

Harp 46 is splended!
author: Derlie Vega
To me, the CD Harp 46 is comparable to a labor of love...soothing/relaxing, cheerful/joyful, competent/powerful. I will recommend this CD Harp 46 to relatives and friends. I'm pretty sure they all will like it.
