STACY ALLYN BAKER is an up and coming singer/songwriter. Originally from New Hampshire, she just graduated from Berklee College of Music and is quickly catching the attention of the Boston music scene. Her commanding voice, teamed with her distinct style, cannot help but captivate any audience. Stacy embodies the same raw vocal power that can be heard in such artists as Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston; the melodic essence of such artists as James Taylor and Norah Jones; and a gift for songwriting that mirrors Billy Joel and Carole King. Stacy has a powerful talent to transform both timeless classics and modern tunes into a fresh, explosive experience for any listener. Her original material entails a wide range of genres, from the sultry, bluesy sound of "Dance Slowly" and "Woman Who," to the bittersweet candor of "Too Late for Love Songs" and "Wake Me." Stacy Allyn Baker is now living and writing in Nashville, TN. She is indeed a talent to watch.

Fantastic Debut
author: Chris
The first time I ever saw and heard Stacy Allyn Baker was at a Berklee BPC show in Boston. She performed "Jenny," and the entire audience was floored. A soft piano ballad detailing innocence lost, it was highly emotional but so well written that it wasn't maudlin. Not only is her voice full of power that she can reign in (as on "If You Like" and the aforementioned "Jenny") and let loose ("Woman Who" and the rocking "Trouble"), but she is an incredibly accomplished songwriter. There is a variety of musical styles on this album, and she handles them all effortlessly. Production is clean and crisp, bringing her voice front and center, where it belongs. Stacy is going to rock the music world and luckily, we're all in for the ride.

Perhaps the CD of our generation
author: Dan Stevens
This CD it fenomenal. There really isn't much else that can better describe it. I've heard the artist before, for I do live in the Boston area, and walking 2 blocks without hearing her name is rather difficult. I am i giant fan of Baker's music but this CD blows any doubts of her that I had right out of the water. Each original song is better than the last. I'm sure if I was a crying type of guy, at least one or two of them would draw a tear from my eye. The singing is amazing as always, and it's rare to see all the pieces of a band click like they do on this album. Truly a piece of art.
