This popular singer/sonwriter based in Southern Illinois weaves a tapestry of sound with voice, guitar, and appalachian dulcimer.

A unique blend of blues, swing, folk-rock on steroids, swing, traditional, celtic, and rock and roll is likely to please all ages from children to adult audiences. Andrea has vast experience entertaining for ages 8 to 80 and over. Entertaining school children and is like "playing for 100 little drunks" quotes Andrea. She also has vast experience entertaining the college crowd which includes 100 larger drunks.

Andrea comes from a family rich in musical talent. Her great-grandfather played fiddle in Louisiana and Texas bands.
Her grandfather's "Stader Band" became a legend in Michigan in the 30's. Her father was an accomplished clarinet and saxophone player and played in Swing and Dixieland bands around the Detroit area.

Andrea also started out on clarinet, and then developed a taste for folk, swing, and rock and roll. Performance credits include appearances on PBS-TV and Radio, the Bluebird Cafe's Songwriter Showcase in Nashville, Tennessee, Milwaukee Summerfest, folk festivals, wine festivals, coffee houses, schools, museums, and night clubs throughout the Midwest.

Anrea has three solo cassette albums featuring mostly original compositions. Two of the albums have been made into CD's. She is featured on two CD compilations of Southern Illinois and St.Louis musicians, Heartland Harvest and Coal Dusted Tracks.

Lady of the Harbor is described as a poignant collection of original songs featuring her multi-instrumental skills and strong bluesy vocals. The musical styles vary from rock, swing, bluegrass, blues, and folk/rock on steroids. The new CD includes several guest musicians.

Andrea is currently a middle school science teacher and performs with several bands. The last two songs feature the teacher band "The Detentions" performing rhythm and blues covers.
