Album Notes

Stagger Lee is a prolific Country Music artist from Gonzales, Louisiana. He now resides in New York City, where his label, 14mercy, is located. He burst onto the Country music scene in 2005 with his debut albums, Hillbilly Heroin and Sells Drugs To Children. His tongue-in-cheek humor and NNMaddox's psychedelic production instantly set him apart from today's current pop-country artists.

Nashville Starfucker is more classic Stagger Lee material, but sharper, smarter, and just plain cooler. With sassy rockers like "Messed With Texas" and "Fucked Up All The Time," Lee offsets barroom classics like "Sugarland" and "A Little Peace Of Mind."

The lighters (now cell-phones) come out with sing-a-longs like "Gimme Gimme LSD" and "Cold-Hearted Good-For-Nothing Insecure Pathetic." And just when you thought Lee was only about booze and drug songs, he'll sing you a touching ballad like "Crying Your Eyes Out" or "Life-Size."

With Stagger Lee, it's about the attitude. Without a doubt, it is nothing like the Country music you're used to. But it's a new genre, a new sound, a new form of expression that you're going to love.
