This is Stan's long awaited third studio album and has been acclaimed as his best yet. The monumental traditional sounds of “Whitby Harbour”, which is already being played and covered by some of the top musicians in the country, the resounding story line and sadness of “All The Young Soldiers”, the stunning musical arrangement of the more politically motivated “Rolling River Farm”, written with Mike Silver, the stunning classic lyrics of “Songs For The Lonely” and the moving sentiments of “Christmas Soldier and Michael And His Medals. Add to this the upbeat rhythms of “Somewhere In America” and “Easy Street” and you have an album which contains something for everyone and will not disappoint the listener. This is a varied and thoughtful selection of songs from a writer who combines great vocals with sensitive and well crafted lyrics.
