A fresh and better kind of different. Stankfüt shatters boundaries.

If Tool ate Dave Matthews Band for dinner and peppered it with a little funk, the belch that followed would probably sound like Stankfüt.
The entire CD leaves listeners feeling like they went to an alternative wonderland and had a few too many slices of jazz and funk mushrooms. Every song has a heavy emphasis on the instrumental lines with Carter's lyrics. Two of the tracks, "Dry Sockets" and "Wicked Fellah (Island Song)," completely drop words and focus on the thick mix of bass, drums and saxophone.
The band's unique blend sets it apart from many rock bands that put a heavy emphasis on electric guitars, which Stankfüt completely leaves off its CD. Stephan, Carter and Woods each have their chance to shine on their instruments. Each one is featured equally in the music. The multilayered tracks make for a rich mind-warping adventure.
Besides original instrumental lines, Carter's lyrics are far from the cliche phrases of many rock songs. In the song "Flight of the Beaver," Carter sings "And living with you dear/ has been like stomping on eggshells/ I can tiptoe for so long/ But when I crack, your heart will as well."
The song "Queasy" is all about "punishing yourself at the bars in Kent," Carter said. "I go two rounds and it's not enough./ Throw 10 dollars down/ My eyes light up./ Now I'm queasy," Carter said in the song.
Every song on Fritters contains another surprise for the listener, whether in the musical interludes or in the lyrics. For more information on Stankfüt and the CD, visit www.stankfut.com.

Rock'n CD

Awesome music, ok lyrics. It a fun release to listen to. The bass and drummer really lock it in man. It's a bit heavy in the mix, but overall a great CD to play... especially while your driv'n around town.
This is my feel good album for the summer.
