I appreciate your getting back.this makes it easier to give you what you want..

My Name is Stan Pope I'm from Chicago,and currently live in San Diego..my music is a new form I call Nu Groove.it's a different approach and uses lead guitar in a unique way and has other elements that make it different than any other form before it..much like Rock and Roll and R&B. they are both blues based ,but each has a different approach..I like to give each song it's own characteristics..like some of my songs have a Latin feel,reggae,or
funk.with rock lead guitar added in.I find you get a lot of passion from a lead guitar,and I even used it in some ballads..
mostly what I seek to do is deliver more passion,and sophistication to a strong groove..
so that the music will touch you in a unique way,and be something that will stay fresh
because there are so many elements to groove with..what's most different from other music today..is my groove comes from instrumentation,keyboards and guitars.rather than percussion instruments..
I personally don't know of any single person that has created a product as diverse and original as mine completely alone..to do this wasn't my original plan..I started out as a singer.with a 4 man vocal group.I soon learned you need original material to be a recording artist.in an effort to work more regular,and write some material to record..I decided to learn lead guitar.after many years playing with bands,and being a band leader.I was getting no where fast,because I couldn't find anyone to work on the original material..I had a group with my brother that worked on some and we got a distribution deal with CBS records..but it failed because we ran out of money trying to produce the album..my brother left and I was alone. eventually I decided to learn to play keyboards and try to do my songs myself.
which is what has lead us here..I bought a 16 track digital studio.and went to work..
I found that my ability to write , arrange,and perform the material was greater than I expected.but I also learned that engineering a recording is no easy task.so even after I recorded it took me awhile to acquire the skills to ,mix,and master the recordings. you have
to learn a new skill for that.
what excites me about my music is it's as real as you can get,and I don't care who you are.you need real skills to duplicate my music..unlike so much music today..a lot of it has no real musicians playing anything on the track.it's done by tone generators and sequencers,drum machines etc..and lot of it is so simple,that I believe it's why so many people feel they are Rap artists.they see people doing things that require little to no musical skills,and feel they can do that to.and make some money..well unless they have real skills they can't do what I do..I'm inspired by the true artistry of past black musicians and vocalists.Black music played a huge part in freeing us from segregation and oppression.
the fact that we had such a level of excellence that the white people admired,and couldn't duplicate.went a long way in endearing us to them,and bringing us respect as a people.
I feel today's artists have abandoned the principles of excellence that made black music mean something.I seek to bring something that will inspire other young musicians and vocalist to do better,and bring the passion,and love in the future.
I'm unique in I've created something new,and different.with elements that I believe will be duplicated by many artists to come.
in the future I wish to give those that want more from their music something to relate to.and help others that have real talent to progress,and be appreciated..
right now since I've just finished the CD,and I don't have a band that can perform the music.
I can only at this time sing along with my tracks.since I can't play all this music and sing
