Album Notes

St. Louis's Stan Sykes, a graduate of Sumner High School and Webster University School of Music, releases his latest recording, "Scrapbook." Stan was popular on the St. Louis music scene years ago with MCA records development act "Steppin Out" as lead vocalist/bassist. Since then he has become a club favorite as a solo artist, in Japan at the Toei Hotel and a headliner for the Norwegian and Carnival cruise lines.

Stan is a self produced singer, song writer, and technologist who's creative juices flow deep into the sound of classic Motown, 70's and 80's R&B music. His skills and talent, combined with today's technology has enabled him to express himself entirely in away that was unheard of years ago.

"Scrapbook" delivers a poignant display of Stan's riveting five-octave voice, and creative song writing skills. It has been said that "Scrapbook" fills a musical void that has been missing for years. Some say that Stan's rendition of Smokey Robinson's "Ooh Baby Baby" surpasses all cover versions and rivals the original. All eleven tracks create a lyrical lure that embraces feelings and emotions of yesterday.

Keep your ears and hearts open; Stan Sykes will be touching you soon!
