"I wanted us to have a distinct sound, yet we are a product of many different influences.", says STATE OF BEING founder, Christopher Földi. Földi and his Cleveland, Ohio based band work toward achieving that goal by blending electro-rock with captivating vocals and provocative lyrics.

Outburn Magazine (issue #19) calls State of Being's recent CD IMPLOSION "An impressive release and the band's best work yet," and rates it as excellent with 5 out of 5 stars. Reviewer Julie Johnson (Belgium's Side-Line Magazine) sums it up by saying "Overall, State of Being is complex, driven... edgy."

State of Being is nearing completion of their next full-length studio CD produced by Andy Kubiszewski (Stabbing Westward, Prick, The The). The new material is already demonstrating a progression of the band's sound, this being apparent in several tracks already added to its live set. Kubiszewski also contibuted a pair of remixes to recent SOB releases, including "Instinct (metal + glass)" from IMPLOSION.

State of Being has released 2 full-length CDs, 2 CD-EPs and 2 music videos, and appears on several compilation CDs (including "Notes IV" from Invisible Records). State of Being has performed in support of numerous national and international acts including Thrill Kill Kult, The Church, Sister Machine Gun, Chemlab, Gravity Kills, Chris Connelly, Junkie XL.

With the new recording nearing completion, a retooled live show and favorable press, State of Being is poised to reach a decidedly broader audience.
