Album Notes

Sweden's Lo-fi King, The State of Samuel, returns with his second full length album,"Here Come the Floods". Following the mostly solo acoustic fare of his 2003 debut, "Mutiny On Mercury"(Humblebee), Samuel Petersson brings a full band with him on "Here Come the Floods", including Isak Klasson(Speedmarket Avenue) and Peter Eriksson(Penti), as well as, featuring a guest appearance by Betty-Marie Barnes of Saturday Looks Good to Me on "Always Under the Gun". Incorporating more of a '70s powerpop and paisley underground influence this time around, "Here Come the Floods", is filled with ringing 12-string guitars and short, snappy, hook-laden pop songs.
