Luis Stazo ,born in Buenos Aires, began at the age of 7years to play the bandoneon.He started to play with such famous ones of the tango like Angel Vargas, Juan Carlos, Cobián, Alberto Morán and many more , before he founded in 1973 the legendary Sexteto Mayor. With compositions and arrangements from Luis Stazo the Sexteto celebrated all over the world incredible success .They spread the tango outside Argentina with the Broadway-Shows “Tango Argentino” and “Tango Pasion”, which were runing for years. Besides of numerous awards Luis Stazo received in 2003 the Grammy Latino. With his more of 100 compositions and over 150 arrangements he influence the music at the milongas and in concerts worldwide.


After his movement to Berlin Luis Stazo founded in 2005 the Trio StazoMayor, with whom he gives concerts all over Europe. He is accompanied by Christian Gerber - Bandoneon and Cesar Nigro-Guitar.

Besides the legendary compositions and arrangements , Luis Stazo composed and arranged totaly new Tangos for his Trio which now will be realesed for the first time on this CD.
