Stefanie Keys is a soulful songstress with an original sound and a voice that is powerful. Her rythmic 12 string acoustic guitar playing is funky with a blues/ folk blend. Stefanie is a fire ball. She is a dynamic solo performer known to make you shake it. Whether playing her acoustic solo, or with her band throwin it down electric, this woman really rocks. The combination of her lyrical stylings, her soulful voice and ability to be vulnerable and passionate inspires. Stefanie is truly an entertainer who moves her audience.
She has contributed her vocal talent to many other projects of bay area greats such as Jay Lane(Primus, Alphabet Soup, Charlie Hunter Trio, Bob Weir and Rat Dog) and Dave Schul (Ice Age, Spearhead.) As a back-up vocalist for Superchick and Goodpussy, a 12 piece Atlanta-based funk band, she performed for 20,000 with this group that has been known to present a stage spectacle show not to be missed.
Her Debut Album, Say You Will, is fresh and original. This bay area singer/songwriter has a vocal range that can cover everything from Norah Jones to Janis Joplin. The line up of players on this album include Peter Keys of SeePeoples and 420 Funk Mob, Dan Ingenthron on bass from SeePeoples, Terry LesPerance on Drums, Jay Lane of RatDog, Dave Shul of Spearhead. Alan Hall on guitar. Clip Payne of P-Funk, and the P-Funk Horn Players Greg Thomas and Bennie Cowan on a killer cover of Janis Joplins "Try". Do not miss this one!!!
