Album Notes

Stella Mira grew out of a musician ad placed by vocalist Joe Dausch, keyboardist Brian Rauer and bassist Steve Citarella in March of 2003, which drew ex House of Bryan guitarist Sean Cranford and ex Birinyi guitarist Mark Cookson. They were soon joined by professional drummer Mark Lucas, and quickly built up a broad spectrum of original material drawn from an eclectic mix of melodic modern rock sounds.

Stella Mira recorded a 3-song EP later that year in October at Ray Tilkins' Ambient Studios in Beltsville, MD. They then recorded their first full-length album with producer Mark Sarisky (Korn, Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Blues Traveler), based in Austin, Texas. Tracks from these sessions make up the bulk of the currently available full length CD, entitled "Between now and never".

The band is now playing regularly in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia with occasional gigs in New York and all points in between. They're as proud of their live shows as their recordings and those who have seen them live have always come back for more.
