All-time Favorite
author: Chris KearneyThis album was given to me years ago and I can't stop playing it. It's a great record. It is a desert island album to me, ranked at the top of my favorites list with Michelle Shocked's "Short Sharp Shocked". It's personal without being syrup-y or bitter. It's simultaneously soft and gritty; it's absolutely real. The lyrics have great imagery (this, is coming from a drummer who doesn't pay attention to words). The vocals are stunning. The band is all at once smooth, rocking, ballzy, classy, authentic - just wonderful. It's a great listen on a road trip or in the shower or even at a quiet time. I keep passing this album to friends and when it's back in stock, I'll buy more. Although I'm weary of singer-songwriter music (generally) and almost immediately disqualify any music described as "heartfelt", this is such strong music that it defies category to me. While I gravitate towards bands more often than individuals (I prefer the Police to Sting; I prefer an ensemble to a virtuoso), this band couldn't be as strong without such amazing songs. It's the perfect marriage. This album has nothing fake about it - it is just top-notch material supported by a great, great band. A rare treat. It is so well written, so well played, so listenable as a record (start to finish) that I'm compelled to gush about it. If anyone in Stella reads this, great stuff - please do another record. Thanks
Pony Girl 2-Review By Sheryl Lee
author: Sheryl LeeThis is quite a fun game except for being too short- thats why i minused off one star! lolZ~! Some people find reviews boring, so I'll try to add some life in to this! Well the game is basically about horses.First you need to save money, and when the day comes, u can buy a horse. U can have money by cleaning out stores, feeding horses, answering questions about horses and doing a riding lesson teaching beginners in the woods ( that's the easiest!) U can either choose a brown horse (speed) or a white horse (dressage) or a greyish black horse (showjumping) Personally, you can choose either horse and just train them up till everything's max. I prefer the white one as to me, it's harder to train dressage! lolZ~! After U manage to get the 1st position in showjumping, dressage and crosscountry + Gymkhana, U can go to the 3-day event! The game has a bit of boyfriend girlfriend thing in it, and there's a real irritating little girl who wanna steal your boyfriend! You can also groom your horse, buy equipment for it and fabulously trendy clothes for yourself! That's it! You can buy this game in any good pc game shop! Hope You Enjoyed My Review!! Bye!!
