Album Notes

Edgy, sultry, chill, introspective and outspoken trip hop/IDM/Electronica with a soulful jazz twist and a rock and roll heart….outta the box and unwrapped comes Stella Polaris Project – the core of Stella Polaris Project is comprised of two dedicated artists from very different worlds, different continents, and different generations combined into a captivating and satisfying genre bending experiment…

Melinda Mohn: vocals and keys
Ricky Mancini: multi-instrumentalist, producer
Ron Soderstrom on trumpet

“A dark, edgy masterpiece (nay tour-de-fekkin-force) that will have you gasping for breath every second of it. It's a given that you should like the more experimental side of life, but this also has an atmosphere you could cut with a knife.”

“A year or so ago, I was remixing a lot of Acidplanet tracks, especially the vocal tracks and I would have wet myself had I come across a voice like Melinda's. It's dusky, warm tone helps alleviate some of the pressure the edginess/glitchiness the track underlying it carries, and she is one of those vocalists that really s-t-r-e-t-c-h the note. Take a listen, I guarantee that you'll be just as taken. Ricky has always kicked off on the wilder side of music; Melinda's vocals and that quite lovely piano are the perfect foils. This must have taken forever to make and perfect and it's startlingly original and fresh……..MUST HAVE. Fekk yeah!!”
