Like the character Stephen Dedalus, whose declared ambition was 'to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can,' The Stephen Hero are perpetually experimenting with new artistic and aesthetic permutations. Never resting content, the group continues to construct musical landscapes both serene and torrid, driving and fluid. Whether in luscious melodic valleys or a jagged terrain of rhythmic alternations, their music will certainly stimulate both ear and mind.
The Stephen Hero originated in the summer of 1999, its four members uniting from across the globe for a common mission. For two years, the band caught many ears with their emotive performances in upstate New York, centered in Buffalo. In the summer of 2001, the group needed to explore new territory and relocated to Denver, Colorado. Never satisfied within the pardadigms of traditional performance, band members are often seen with at least three appendages working in harmonious concert to manipulate keys, pedals, knobs, horns, and other sonic variants. Obsessed with the essential and ubiquitous elements of rock, art, and math, The Stephen Hero continue creating post-modern rock for the space age.
The Stephen Hero began recording the full-length album Permutations of the Good in August of 2000. After many months at Audio Magic and Redline Studios in Buffalo, New York, the twelve track recording was released in March of 2001. The Stephen Hero have performed extensively in Buffalo, NY and are in the process of increasing their gross product value and price earnings ratio in Denver.

OK as much as i wish i could like it, i can't. First off the lead singer is my English teacher. Yes , he really is. (Freaky isn't?) Second i prefer more of a metal. No offence to Dobmeier but you sound kind of monotone but you're a great teacher.
