Album Notes

Anderson has released 3 CDs and several singles & compilation tracks with ZONIC SHOCKUM, a group who had evolved from his solo 4-track recording project in 1988, into a full band line-up who performed and recorded together for over 15 years. ZONIC shared the small stage with such luminaries as WEEN, ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT, LISA SUCKDOG and ROYAL TRUX. They have even received mention in Time magazine.

In 1993 Stephen released a solo EP on white vinyl under the moniker BLADDER CONTROL. L.A.’s Flipside magazine regarded the songs on this record as “wonderfully inventive.” In ‘96 he recorded a demo with UNCLE TUBBY’S NEBULA and began playing bass with ALCOHOLICS UNANIMOUS. More recently in 2004 Stephen contributed the solo track “Opposites Attack” to Director Kate McCabe's 16mm film ‘Milk and Honey.’

The new CD ‘Blackbirds Over Lancaster’ was recorded with Anderson again singing and playing all of the instruments himself. The result is a dark and brooding collection of 10 highly emotional songs.
