Irish Music at its best! To mark the 20th anniversary of the formation of Stephen's Green, current members Andy O'Driscoll and Martin Doyle are joined by old friends and former band mates Martin Marron and Tony McCabe in the compilation of this CD.
During the 1980s, Andy O'Driscoll, originally from Dublin, and County Sligo native Martin Marron played together in the Irish pubs of Chicago and the surrounding area. They later met Dublin native Martin Doyle, and in 1988 the duo became a trio named Stephen's Green. After Martin Marron moved to Virginia, Tony McCabe joined the band. Tony, who originally hails from County Cavan, eventually moved south to Texas. Martin Doyle and Andy O'Driscoll are still based in Chicago and have kept Stephens Green active playing in, among other cities, Omaha, Minneapolis, Davenport, IA, Conklin, MI and Washington, DC, and with their entertaining Ireland tours and cruises. Tony and Martin Marron have also continued their successful musical careers, both performing and recording.
