Born and raised in Historic Southern Maryland, Stephanie Williams' roots are deeply planted in a heritage rich in integrity and strong moral values. With the November 21, 2008 release of her first album "Real Fire" Stephanie is fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams!
Since her early childhood, Steph has always had a love for music. As a student, she enjoyed playing in the schools orchestra and marching band. However, her true devotion was performing in the school chorus.
Early on, Stephanie was inspired by the music of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. As her understanding and respect for music grew, so did the list of musicians whose work would further inspire her. That list includes some of the biggest country female vocalists on the circuit - Martina McBride, Faith Hill, The Judd's and Deanna Carter. Additionally, classic rockers such as Fleetwood Mac and Eric Clapton would broaden her appreciation of music.
Putting this album together has given Stephanie the opportunity to work with some of the big names in country music. Producers Robert Metzgar and Tony Migliore, musicians Sonny Garrish, Hank Singer, Jerry Croon, Jimmy Carter, and Chris Leuzinger - all played a role in helping her achieve her dream.
Stephanie began working on "Real Fire" in May 2007. The album includes songs that let her tell her story through the gift of music. With humbled beginnings, Stephanie has always dreamed of "making it big." With her strong voice and determined will Stephanie is proving to be one of the biggest and best performers in Country Music.

Anytime USA TODAY gives an artist the highest recommendation possible in that newspaper, you know you've found something special. Not only is Stephanie Williams an incredibly beautiful person outside, she is all of that inside as well. Dolly has always said, "You can't wear your jeans too tight or your ear rings too big in country music." Well, if that's the standard, you can bet that this album of 12 big hit songs deserves the biggest pair of ear rings that Dolly can find for it. It deserved the 5 stars in USA TODAY and I think it has the best single record in country radio for 2009 in the song, "Wipe My Tears Away." Stephanie you are just awesome!

This latest Stephanie Williams album can be described in two words..RADIO FRIENDLY! I listened and there are at least 5 hit songs on this project. The production on this record is absolutely fantastic. It sounds like a big $250,000 major label project. The thing about producing a very contemporary project like this, the producer has to believe in the organic ability of the music to just make it come alive in your heart. Stephanie sings her heart out on this record from the first cut to the last. The Nielsen darling of country radio has struck gold again. Her last single Real Fire went to #22 in the charts. I'm sure that the new single out at radio now, will go even higher. This is perhaps the best female country album of 2009 according to Clear Channel radio stations in Stephanie's home town of Baltimore. Keep the hits coming Stephanie! Gotta tractor on now...
