Twelve Shades of Night was written in 12 months, recorded in 12 weeks, mixed in 12 days, and was inspired by the 12 hours of night.

This new album of original compositions integrates Stevan's love of Brazilian, Spanish & American music along with bossa nova, rhumba, flamenco, classical and jazz styles. Stevan's new ensemble features his dynamic acoustic trio (guitar, bass and drums) with the rhythmic cadences of Felix de Lola on cajon & palmas, the Latin syncopations of Colin Douglas on drums, and the lush string ensemble of the Musical Art Quintet featuring the brilliant string arranger and bassist Sascha Jacobsen.

Guitar aficionados love him, fans around the world are loyal to his music, critics praise his musicianship, while his recordings have sold millions. Mr. Pasero is a prolific producer, having amassed hundreds of acclaimed studio productions. His 20 music productions for National Geographic are very well regarded. As a musician, he is also featured on numerous recordings, has transcribed over 30 major symphonic works, composed well over 1000 pieces for solo and ensemble, and has produced more than 2000 studio masters.
