Album Notes

Born in St. Joseph, Michigan, Steve didn’t discover music until the age of 10 when his parents bought the family’s first piano. Steve immediately excelled in lessons and a year later was to begin playing trumpet. As his talent grew he began spending summers playing jazz at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. After moving to Los Angeles in 1986, Steve took a break from music for many years. It wasn’t until years later that he became serious about his pursuit of writing. He attended UCLA, studying songwriting and orchestration, at which time he found composing to be equally as satisfying as his songwriting.
