Album Notes

I was raised in a Christian home with parents who were very musical. Mom was a piano teacher and dad played keys and guitar, so growing up I was surrounded by music all the time. I started writing and playing seriously in the early 1990's. I've played in many bands over the years, but have settled into one cover band, Triplecross, for 16 years (classic R&R), The Steve Betz Trio (originals) and I lead a worship band @ 1st Christian Church in Helena, Mt. I began my recording sessions with a home studio to demo my originals and then moved to Valtron Studios with Mike Liedle....and then on to Soul Tree Recording Studios with Dan Nichols and Mike Liedle where I have recorded the last 3 CD's . My music has evolved over the years, but it has always had a Christian influence in lyrics. I grew up under a "glass half full" way of looking at life and I think that is reflected in the music I write. I like to think of it as "Feel Good Americana" with Christian threads !
