Album Notes

My First record contract was in Nashville with an Independent Record label. I wrote "Same Old Highway" which was recorded by Sonny Wright. Sonny played the song on "Nashville Now" and was played in all most every country in Europe. It was very exciting times. I recorded my first song at Ray Stevens Studio in Nashville. There was one song from that session that did fairly well. The song was " Couldn't Love You More" which I wrote and sang.

I also recorded at the Recorded the Music Mill and the Shock House in Nashville. Jack Eubanks was the leader of the early "Alabama" session. He was a big help to me and was the leader of my sessions there.

I have continued to write songs over the years and the songs just seem to get better and better. I went back to Nashville in 2003 and played in song writing clubs around town. The responds to the songs was really good. I headed back to Colorado and with the help of my friend Paul Searles and Chuck Naftier we began putting the songs together the "It's About Time" CD.

I had another friend in Nashville that helped put the recording session together. With the help of Carroll Miller I was able to get Jim "Turbo" Kirby" Roy Orbison's piano player, Tom Roady Drums and Percussion, Steve Thomas Fiddle, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Rhythm Guitar, Mandolin & Bass Guitar, Reb Clark Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Harmony Vocals.

I am so proud of this CD. I hope you will enjoy it.

Steve
