Album Notes

In 2000, Steve wrote down his intention "to create community through group singing." Shortly thereafter, Steve went on retreat with international chanters Deva Premal and Miten, where his journey into leading group singing began. Later, Steve and Anne-Émilie's voices met before they did while participating in one of the chanters' voice workshops. Since then, Steve and Anne-Émilie perform and travel around the world together. They sing for yoga retreats, workshops, classes, and spiritual centers. The couple also leads group singing, and offers a blend of sanskrit mantras, American spirituals, Native American chants, African and sufi devotional songs. Those musical Satsangs are a wonderful opportunity to be nourished with the healing vibrations of the voice and to celebrate the joy and spirit of singing in community.

In September 2008, they released their CD "So Much Magnificence" a mix of acoustic songs and chants ideal for yoga or relaxation. The music is infused with spirit, beautiful melodies and heart melting harmonies. The title track of the same name is included on Shiva Rea's new CD compilation "Yoga Sol," and instructional DVD "Surf Yoga Soul."
