As a song writer and a player that has played with Stevie Nicks to Waylon Jennings but influenced by Zepplin to ACDC (My music is very original) telling life stories of where the music biz took me emotionally with sarcastic flare. Shocking

Album Notes

Well I don't know about you but I've been beat up, thrashed and slam dunked under a toilet seat or at least that's how I feel. I don't so much as wine in my music but I tell it like it is and bitch a lot. My songs are about the music biz and the machine of life that seems to eat us up at times. I hate comparrisons but look at it like this if Bob Dylan and Angus Young of ACDC got together it might sound like me.
A gifted performer (emotionally disturbed/psycotic) at a young age, I've been playing the better part of 20 years in North America with famous(I do not want to do the name game) and not so famous artists and myself(Any band name with HILL in it) in rock, punk to country bands, and you'll find no twang in my country. In fact if you like Country music you probably will not like ME, so surprize me and like Shark Country. I have been writing foever and I'm sure you'll find a song or two of mine on other artists CD's on CD baby. I love the anger and energy in punk and rock and have played a lot of country, so you put all those styles together and you get me.
On the verge of suicide most of the time, in my music you get nothing but edgy desperation. I just wrote a song with the lyric "Somebody wake up Jesus it's time to do your thing" if that's not desperate I don't know what is.. Being an extreamist of everything in life and beyond, there is a message in every song of mine and if you don't get it you haven't listened to it enough. All I do up in the mountains is write & play (These CD's are all me every instrument and vocal, everything on them) all the time so I have plenty more music where 'Shark Country' came from so keep the love. I personally make these CD's myself so there is only frills in the music. If fact it cost me more to put out a CD for you then I make , so it's GOTTA be about the MUSIC! I'm not very good at these bio things so e-mail me if you got any questions.
got to run.....and remember it is better to have loved and lost then to have paid for it and not liked it!

BIO
Born in LA raised in Oregon, my whole existence has been about getting the music inside of me- out. Concerts, clubs, studio's, with well known artists and my own bands, I played over 300 dates a year from the age's of 16 to 30. At 30 and burnt to a crisp I tried to get out of music but it kept drawing me back. My life is about the music and telling the story of life in it. Three years ago I moved out of the rat race and up to the mountains of Wyoming to do nothing but write and record and that's what I've been doing. I've got 5 CD's and 5 in the wings and a CD with a collection of songs from the five. Writing for Publisher's, studios and movies some of my best stuff never makes it out to main stream I feel, because they are just too heavy and honest. That doesn't make sense but the powers that be constantly pour out and market commercial garbage to the public and that won't stop until you quit buying it. When I write I go to another zone with music and lyrics coming from God knows where. I say it's like giving birth as it takes me emotionally and physically to limits I find hard to compare anything to.
Seems my life has been a rough and rocky road but I can't complain it has been to say the least exciting. But we all make our own path and choices. My actions have all been about getting the music out of me, and if that means I have to visit hell to do it then I dress for heat. To paint these musical and emotional pictures, my anguish and torment is unnerving and if anyone could go through what I go through, you'd say it wasn't worth it. But when you do get it, it's all worth it. All my CD's are available here on www.cdbaby.com and where ever else they put them and come with the Steve Hill guarantee. "If my music doesn't change your life then you can keep the one you've got"
