Album Notes

This is a mix of stuff I have done this year for movie scores and other artist's. You seldom get to hear the real stuff from a song writer so here it is. I record all this stuff myself up in the Wyoming mountains, full studio. I played for 20 years with every artist imaginable, Rock, Punk, Pop, Country, Blues, etc. I'm not bitter but just pissed at how the really good music doesn't make it to mainstream. The public deserves more but gets less every year. The music business is all about money and I am not, so I make a nasty bed partner with it. I will have four other Cd's available, all from the last two years, my best picks. I am more of a deadpoet guy but was a guitar GOD at a very young age, by critcs, but all I do is play form the heart. My picks on this CD would be, Long Lost Generation, Rush, Merry Christmas..... oh I like em' all... you decide. Most of these are full production except where I feel a guitar and vocal tells it all perfect. Stay Tuned.
Cheers

Bio
Born in LA raised in Oregon, my whole existence has been about getting the music inside of me- out. Concerts, clubs, studio's, with well known artists and my own bands, I played over 300 dates a year from the age's of 16 to 30. At 30 and burnt to a crisp I tried to get out of music but it kept drawing me back. My life is about the music and telling the story of life in it. Three years ago I moved out of the rat race and up to the mountains of Wyoming to do nothing but write and record and that's what I've been doing. I've got 5 CD's and 5 in the wings and a CD with a collection of songs from the five. Writing for Publisher's, studios and movies some of my best stuff never makes it out to main stream I feel, because they are just too heavy and honest. That doesn't make sense but the powers that be constantly pour out and market commercial garbage to the public and that won't stop until you quit buying it. When I write I go to another zone with music and lyrics coming from God knows where. I say it's like giving birth as it takes me emotionally and physically to limits I find hard to compare anything to.
Seems my life has been a rough and rocky road but I can't complain it has been to say the least exciting. But we all make our own path and choices. My actions have all been about getting the music out of me, and if that means I have to visit hell to do it then I dress for heat. To paint these musical and emotional pictures, my anguish and torment is unnerving and if anyone could go through what I go through, you'd say it wasn't worth it. But when you do get it, it's all worth it. All my CD's are available here on www.cdbaby.com plus where ever they put them and come with the Steve Hill guarantee. "If my music doesn't change your life then you can keep the one you've got"

Steve, I like the arrangement and writing as usual. You have such a vast well of "Life Experience" to draw from. Music is your key to keeping your feet on the ground...it's either that or we need to double the meds~ Great Job! Glenn
