ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Steve Saari currently works as an Employment Placement Professional for injured workers in Bemidji, Minnesota. Originally from Grand Forks, ND he worked as an actor/director/writer/composer for the Fire Hall Theatre (Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre) for thirteen years. He served as Associate Director and then Executive Director of the Theatre until he relocated to Bemidji. Steve was also Composer In Residence for the ND Ballet Company for several years and the Company performed many of his works as well as an original full-length story ballet. His play, "Totally Necessary Men," premiered in Grand Forks at the Fire Hall and was produced again at the Empire Arts Center. Other productions have been presented by Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, Macomb (IL) Community Theatre, Top Hat Players (Harvey, ND) and by a theatrical troupe in Devils Lake (ND), and Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Bemidji (MN). Four of his other plays have been produced; "When Love Was You," an original musical, "Reunited We Fall," a comedy about a 20th high school reunion, a drama, "Ruby Lips Above the Water," and his newest comedy "Mere Image". Steve is currently at work on an instrumental CD of his new works and on a musical set at the end of Vaudeville called "Playing The Bill". Steve says his dream would be to write scores for film.

"The process of creating music is a mystery to me and I hope it remains one. My instrumentals can be the result of something as simple as a thought, a memory, or an image. Many of the vocals were written for a specific character in a musical, but some of them were written because of an experience I was going through at a particular moment in time. More than anything, I hope people can relate to the music at some level -- whether instinctually, intellectually, or emotionally." - Steve Saari

Steve's lyrics are so great, and his piano abilities superb!
I love the "Long Trip to Myself"--it is such a fantastic song. And the "Mary, Mother of Jesus" sends chills down your spine!

Purest Voice Ever
Judy Lunseth has the most exquisitely pure and sweet voice I've ever had the pleasure to hear. This project is a marvellous vehicle for her formidable talent. Really gorgeous songs, with impeccable piano accompaniment.

An emotional journey
Steve's music on this CD is so profound in the way it takes you on a journey of so many emotions that you feel a sense of healing at the end.
