REVIEWS

A long time "fan"
author: Grant Spencer
I have been listening to this guy since he was at the Winnipeg Folk Festival (1992?). I spent 10 years trying to track him down (early internet days! :) ) This album is very much like his "Record Time" album (which I think is out of print) and, in my opinion, rivals that one as his #1. (Sorry, but I love the live albums more ... Him, his guitar and the audience; perfect combo) Anyway, GREAT introduction to this guy and, for those that don't need an introduction, a must have for their collection.

Highly soulful

All of the songs on this CD are from the heart and cover pretty much the gamut of emotion, from funny to sad to introspective, and more. Looking forward to another CD some time soon, I hope.

Wa-Awesome- House

Another awesome collection of songs by a great song writer and singer. A wonderful collection of humorous and serious material that brings a warmth to the heart and fuels the soul. These songs speak to our experience as people, and give a unique "view" into the world of Steve Key (and a mirror into our own). Classic folk music. This stuff should be on the radio! I echo the senitments of an earlier review that Steve's songs deserve more attention from the public. Steve can sing at my house any time!

IF YOU'VE GOT THE ROOMS, THE NASVILLE NUMBERS SONG, and OATBRAN MUFFINS are some of the greatest humorous folksongs I've heard in a long, long time! I wish I had written them! The serious tunes will yank a big ol' tear right out of your eye before you know what's happening to ya! Every song on this CD is great, & deserves more attn.!
