Alternately introspective and extroverted rock & roll and power-pop. Pretty chords. Pretty words. Pretty loud when it wants to be. An immersive exploration of the seedy, sacred and sublime ashtray floors of the human soul.

Album Notes

Steve,
I'm going to the store to get a Dr. Pepper. I really am. During the making of this record we lived to see three years, a burned down apartment, a marriage, a divorce, three breakups, a six-month driver's license suspension, an armed robbery, countless depraved blackouts, projectile vomiting, sobriety, arguments, one totaled car, one dog adopted, two burned-out amps, three drummers, four bass players, one of our favorite clubs burned to the ground, a couple dozen shepherd's pies, thousands of prayers, one gallbladder blown out and a torched Christmas tree—on Dec. 18. Congratulations, we took three years to make a garage-rock record. You should take two weeks off and quit. - Nick
