Jazz bassist Steve Morrison has joined forces with Jeff Duff to produce an exciting new jazz album, ‘So Quiet’. Steve Morrison released his debut solo album ‘Silently’ last year at the Basement to rave reviews. The album presented classy instrumental jazz and soft groove in an attempt to make ‘credible’ jazz accessible to first time jazz consumers, as well as seasoned jazz lovers. Everything about his first album reflected Steve’s unique approach to music. He didn’t want to work his way up through the normal jazz hierarchy and wait for gigs. Instead, he wanted to go out where people normally wouldn’t get to listen to jazz and make jazz gigs happen. He just wanted to play and maybe record an album or two.

So the two decided to join forces to create an album that would elevate what you hear in the first album ‘Silently’ to a new level. The result is ‘So Quiet’. The CD features a number of original tunes. There are two by Steve Morrison, ‘So Quiet’ and an instrumental song called ‘The Penguin’ (Which Jeff Duff named!). Another original song called ‘Miles’ is a tribute to Miles Davis written by Jeff Duff and Bill Risby.
