Album Notes

Poppa Steve Mutimer’s musical roots hearken back to the 1950s and 1960s when he performed as a drummer and bandleader playing early American contemporary music - Rock ‘n’ Roll,
R&B and Pop. That music influences his unique brand of retro sounding yet modern Groove Jazz compositions that make up his albums today.

Poppa’s familial roots go back to a clan of 3rd generation plumbers from Rockford, IL where he grew up and learned a little about plumbing and a lot about music. Although his family’s role models have all passed on now, their early support of his music encourages him to this day.
