Steven Brezet, 20 years young, grew up in the multicultural and vivid society of the city of Rotterdam (Roffa).
As a musician he’s considered part of the newest generation of percussionists from the harbour city.
The word "Matties" is Dutch slang, that translates best to the American term "homies".
The song represents the value and importance of friends in life.
It doesn't matter where you're from or what you look like.
In this song he brings together friends from all backgrounds and nationalities.
For the first time, Senegalese and Cuban Music are mixed together and it sounds great.
Especially made for dancers, which Steven feels to be very important in his music, this music succeeds to be new while respecting traditions. But most importantly it’s fun. Fun playing, fun singing, fun to be with friends, fun to dance to this exciting track.
Enjoy!
