Steve is not an artist by choice. He was born that way. He wrote his first songs at 7 and has yet to slow down. By his ninth birthday, Steve was using his self-taught guitar method to perform at community events. His self-taught method has enabled Steve to craft an extremely unique style of playing the guitar, which blends beautifully with his low, resonant voice. Over the years, Steve has performed his songs, sold many to other artist, and has had the opportunity to shake hands with some of the greats. When you listen to Steve play his songs, you immediately sense that there's something special happening. You can't explain it - you just know it.
A few years ago, Steve decided to augment his songwriting status to that of a full-time recording artist as well. He began bringing his songs into recording studios by keeping it simple - guitars, vocals, and an accompanist. Although he was pleased with the results, he still wanted more. He wanted drums, bass, guitar solos, and a producer. Steve's songwriting and performance talents are so evident, finding a producer and supporting cast was easy. This year, he decided it was time to take the recording process to the next level by recording and releasing his first fully produced solo CD entitled "Tell Me Something".
Today, Steve is busy promoting his new CD and planning the next one while continuing to write more songs. It's not work - it's a way of life. Aside from recording, he love's to play on stage and seizes the opportunity to whenever possible. His songs are authentic, sincere, and there are plenty more still to come.

Wow. What a nice surprise. Beatles meet John Lee Hooker meets Rod Stewart.

I really didn't know what to expect, but was pleasently surprised! Some very cool music that has found a unique place in my collection. The more I listen - the more I like! Track 5 is one of the best authentic blues tracks I've heard in YEARS! Bravo Mr. LaTourrette. Make some more music!
