Album Notes

Steven Rivenbark has paid three decades of dues en route to becoming one of the most talked about guitar players around. Starting out as a blues singer and picker in New Orleans at the early age of 15, and then moving into Florida he spent the early '80s as part of country's new traditionalist sound before finding success as a contemporary country entertainer. With strong mainstream appeal, he pulled crowds into the lounges he played with his unique voice and Brad Paisley style of guitar playing. That balance made him the kind of performer that people come “to watch”.

Steven was born in Greenville, SC. His father, retired Air force, played trumpet, his grandmother, uncle, aunt and mother played piano. Steven picked up guitar before his teen years; he later added fiddle, dobro, mandolin, slide and bass to his repertoire. In New Orleans he played the blues but he cut his teeth on the Beatles, moved into Skynard and the Allman Brothers then on into country back in the early 80’s when it was pumping. Playing with the best local bands from New Orleans, Florida, Nashville and Jamaica (to name a few) made him the person to have in your band.

Steven to Nashville in 1985 and then on to NC for several years. A trip back to Florida in 1991 led him back to playing with some of his old cronies and he became a Floridian once more. He recently bought his grandfathers home and 10 acres in NC.

He’s presently working his way into the music scene in God’s country, North Carolina.

Unbelievable cool - everyone should have one.
Man, to pick like this. Some Dire Straits influence but uniquely his own sound.

Diversity, feeling, vocals, emotion....
The music has alot of diversity and feeling. Guitar & vocals carry much emotion. The song Where Eagles Fly is moving.

Steve's style is all his own. Havign been influenced by many artist Steve has filtered them thru his heart and that is what comes across in his music. This is an artist that has more talent and gifting in one finger than most have in their entire body... I really enjoyed the multiple formats of playing. Keep them coming Steve. It is awsome!
