Album Notes

Steve Scarlata grew up in the rural countryside just outside Albany, NY. His songwriting began in the Cincinnati area while attending the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. It was here, through his acoustic duo Charming Man that he first found his songwriting voice. In '03 he moved back to Albany and has continued to play coffee shops, cafes and small stages throughout the area. His first album RISA was released in '06 and is an account of the sometimes melancholy and dizzying, but largely hopeful sentiments that have shaped his life.
