Steve Roslonek of SteveSongs has been performing his unique brand of original songs for kids and their families for over five years. His music has won numerous national awards, including a Parents’ Choice Gold Award, a CMW Best Audio Award, a NAPPA Honor and an iParenting Media Award. Steve blends participatory songs, clever stories and great melodies into an experience that leads young listeners on what the Boston Globe calls “not just a musical journey but an entertaining, interactive and educational one.”
In 1997, Steve wrote his first children’s song for a local day care. He knew that he loved music and kids, but it wasn’t until he combined the two that he found what he calls "the coolest job ever." Inspiration for new songs came so fast and the feedback from kids and parents was so positive that he decided to record his own album. Morning’Til Night was released in 1999 and received rave reviews from awards organizations and family publications. Steve left his job as a business consultant with Andersen Consulting that same year to pursue this adventure full time. Since then, Steve has recorded three more award winning albums and has performed over 1500 shows/workshops in 17 different states. He has also teamed up with co-writer Anand Nayak, of the Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem Band, to write and record over 80 songs for educational products that have been distributed in Asia and Mexico.
Steve recently moved from Boston and currently resides in Connecticut.
