Having the unique style of such Windham Hill artists as William Ackerman and Alex Degrassi, Steve Sosa's guitar playing is also mixed with a touch of Jimmy Page's (Led Zeppelin) and Steve Howe's (Yes) acoustic style. Steve's melodies paint beautiful pictures in your mind while still being able to capture the imagination of all aspiring guitarists.

After years of playing coffee houses and dreaming of making an album, Steve has finally made his dream come true with his debut album "Day's End", released on Rhythm Signal Records & Productions.

One listener, Kathy, described "Day's End" best before she even knew the name of the album. "This is something I would listen to at the end of the day when I'm sitting on my front porch watching the sunset."

Special guests appearing on this album are Nathan Diekman on cello, Thomas (from the band Rhythm Signal) on percussion and Jason (also from Rhythm Signal) on fretless and six string bass.

This album has a sweet rhythmic melody that allows concentration to meld with the perfect touch of distraction. I listen to it at work. It is the background music of my days. The second track, "Childhood Memories" has a haunting quality; it lingers like a sunset and slips away. The cello accompaniment on "Peace" is an ethereal enhancement. The songs are mellow and cheery at the same time. I especially love where the album leaves off. The guitar drifts out as the natural night sounds of crickets at dusk drift in. 'Days End' is a beautiful arrangement that calms me and revives my imagination. I am excited about future releases from the artist!

"Bad Batch"...I loved the music, but the last track was overpowered by this horrible scratching and hissing noise..Unfortunately I bought 4 to give as gifts and all 4 were defected.

What can I say

People might consider this review biased because I was involved with this cd, but actually my involvement shows how much I love Steve's music. I wouldn't have worked with Steve if I didn't think his stuff was magical. Day's End has a wonderful combination of being atmospheric and new agey (is that a word?) while also being down to earth and folksy. My personal favorite song off the cd is "Peace" but all of the songs are wonderful. I think a good example of the power of Steve's music is the fact that this cd is played in various massage and physical therapy businesses during sessions to relax their clients.

Very mellow and relaxing...it's great for me to listen to at the end of the day before bed to wind down. To me there is something comfortingly familiar about the sound, yet it's original at the same time. I think the CD is a must have for any collection.
