Storm uses open tunings on the steel string acoustic guitar to build his own lush arrangements of traditional Celtic aires, laments, jigs and reels, as well as a few originals. The delicacy of Storm’s intricate finger style guitar is stunning.

With "After Dark" Steve Storm takes you on a musical journey with eloquently complex arrangements, that not only tell his story, they’ll touch your soul. Stories of the 'journey back' with beautiful melodies, harmony and rhythmic accompaniments to express that peaceful moment when the spirit lifts after trials have weighed you down. Storm uses open tunings on the steel string acoustic guitar to build his own lush arrangements of traditional Celtic aires, laments, jigs and reels, as well as a few originals. The delicacy of Storm’s intricate finger style guitar is stunning, leaving you moved by the depth of his heartfelt playing.
Steve Storm lives in the small, rural mountain town of Crestone, Colorado. He’s been living in Colorado since 1983, all the while playing guitar in various groups or alone, onstage and off. For the last several years he has focused on Celtic music, starting with a five-piece band, Bread in a Bottle, then playing in a duo with Celtic fiddler, Ann Federowicz. Steve now finds himself coming out with this, his solo Celtic finger style guitar project. The recordings on After Dark make up his first official CD, produced with the help of friends. (Thanks to Charlie Rafferty, of Taos, NM for recording the tracks and Orion Ross, in Crestone, for sharing his mastering skills and Don Richmond, Howlin' Dog Studio, Alamosa, Co.)
