Album Notes

Steve Webb started his pro career in 1970 with Belleville Illinois based "The Clouds". His recording debut is the 1974 Island Records release "Jess Roden" produced by Allen Toussaint and featuring 'The Meters'. He continued with Jess for European tours with Roxy Music and The Who plus three more records with sessions that included Steve Winwood and Rebop and many from the Island stable. 1978 he joined 'LION' led by veteran British blues singer Gary Farr (of The T'bones). Relocated to L.A. and signed to A&M . Sessions for Saun Cassidy, Jefferson Starship and other dates with Phillip Chen and Greg Allman followed. 1980 formed 'The Difference' the first unsigned band to have a video on MTV. Returned to Britain 1986 and toured Scandinavia as a solo act, met his lady, moved to Finland, started his own indie label WEBBSONGS and reformed 'The Difference' with Big Bad Bo Hurtig on drums and Hasse Wazzen on bass, two virtuoso Swedes. Three cds are available. Formed a 50's Rock'n'Roll trio, 'The RetroRockets' at the same time and is now writing the follow up record for release in the fall.
