Album Notes

This is one of those records you come across once every couple of years. It seems to fall into your lap, almost without you knowing it, from some random source, and finds you just when you needed to hear it. The songs somehow creep into your life and become a kind of soundtrack to the day to day events. That "road trip" or that "last time you saw them" will be with you vividly everytime you put the record on.

I remember asking singer Gregg Sarfaty what they were aiming for when they were sitting in the living room recording "Wanted A Girl". He paused a moment then smiled,"We wanted to tell the kinds of stories that would touch the listener everytime, songs that really got to the heart of the matter and moved all of us. We wanted to make music we'd be proud of in twenty years. We're an ambitious bunch."

Once in a great while a record comes along that truly captures a phase of your life and it's so difficult to explain just why you hold it so dear. I'll just call it a "classic" and invite you to listen for yourself.

Music that hits THE spot

A cd discovered through a radio station and I cannot stop playing it. As mentioned by others, no definitive genre does this album justice and it is never played at anything other than LOUD. Discover a great sound.

Yeah I enjoyed the CD. I like style of it and the singers voice. I can see why they are compared to the Counting Crows, but don't. This is the kind of album that you play on the beach, or driving in your car with the roof/windows well down. And A Walk in Spain and Wanted A Girl ar the perfect tracks to fall asleep to with a smile on your face. The slight hints of folk and blues in the guitary songs is just right. How much do I sound like I'm sucking up? But everyone who has heard this album says the same. Suck it and see!

What can I say other than if you haven't got this CD , then you're missing out on some great music. However, on the other hand , don't buy it , those of us who have experienced it want it all to ourselves! This band are dynamite and the second Cd 'sweet Lullabye' is just as good if not better. Also , see them live. I've seen them 4 times this year and it isn't enough. When they next tour the UK I'm going to every venue. God, I'm a groupie!-What the hell!(sorry Satan)
