Album Notes

Take a pot. Toss in some original homegrown Canadian roots. Stir and simmer over time. Savour the mix... mmmm... an acoustic stew of folk and blues, reflective balladry, with a pinch of jazz, cajun, and celtic all in one tasty take-out order. Call it Stewed Roots, the musical creation of singer/guitarist Jeff Hale, and pianist/accordionist Neva Tesolin. ‘In the Middle of This’ is the title of their debut CD, produced by the award winning Paul Mills. 13 tracks, unforgettable melodies each distinct in character with their own story, and accompanied by some of Canada’s finest musicians. Al Cross on kit, Don Reed on fiddle, Bob Hewus on string bass, Rick Whitelaw on lead guitar, Jessie Tesolin on cello, and Curly Boy Stubbs on guitar, ukelele, banjo, mandolin, hand percussion, and harmonies.
