Album Notes

Still Married after 23 years, three kids and three all-original CDs. Award-winning singer-songwriter Erin Friedman and her husband, Craig, deliver their tunes with simple sincerity and quiet honesty.

Their latest album features tunes that focus on the colorful landscape and characters of Northern California\'s Shasta County -- on love, life and the messy things that make it all interesting. With Erin on guitar and Craig on bass, they share an intuitive understanding, evident in their vocal blends, gentle rhythms and heartfelt harmonies. Rounding out the sound is their daughter, Annie, on fiddle.

This lyrically-rich collection of story songs touch on Shasta County history in “River Whispers,” family history in “The Turf o’ Tullamore,” and themes faith and forgiveness.

Still Married slips into a surprisingly sinister mode with \"Heart Shaped Stones, and they have some fun with their experiences gigging in noisy bars with the rowdy: “Shut Up in the Key of G.”
