Album Notes

A big ball of surf-abilly fun by way of the acid rock of Jimi Hendrix and the Texas shuffle of Stevie Ray Vaughan. The resulting trip proves the blues can rock with the heaviest metal and the hardest punk. The aforementioned heroes are in guitar heaven jamming to this 14-song effort, particularly the hysterical title track and such amusing scorchers as "Dancin' On My Grave" and "I Ain't Perfect (But I'm Close)." It's hard to believe that someone with Bernie "B.B." Brausewetter's guitar chops is still sweating it out in South Plainfield. The music industry needs a hearing aid and/or a clue. -- Review, New Jersey Courier-News

B.B. and the Stingers is an innovative, versatile heavy blues trio showcasing the guitar wizardry and songcraft of Bernie Brausewetter. The band's musical roots lie in traditional blues and the blues/rock influences of the late 1960's. Their individual mastery, combined with today's guitar pyrotechnics and creative songwriting, puts this trio in a class by itself.

Bernie formed B.B. and the Stingers in 1990 after gigging and touring New York/New Jersey through the 70s and 80s. Bernie has a well-earned reputation as a "guitar player's guitar player," and his power trio is renowned as one of the most creative and virtuosic bands going. In addition to their loyal local following, the Stingers have radio airplay and a growing fan base in Europe.

This new edition of the band's second CD includes three tracks from the band's first, self-titled collection. (A great live version of "Haunted House" is available here at CD Baby, on the benefit compilation "Jersey's Talkin - Live.")

The Next Step
author: Roger Schumacher
Once again Bernie and the Stingers surpass expectations with this second CD. The band once again paints on a large tapestry of music supported by Bernie's exceptional guitar work and the Stingers hard pounding beats and accents. Dancin' on my Grave and I ain't perfect (but I'm close) as well as Slow Burn are highlights on this album. There is a mix of surf, rockabilly, and hard core blues that blow out of your speakers and project a smile on your face. If you have thier first CD then this is a must for the band and the song writing take the next step up the ladder to new and better place.

Rest in peace, brother. I'm sure you're up there jamming with the only other guy who could go head to head with you on a Stratocaster. You're missed by your friends.

blues rock of the highest caliber
author: fred zadick
Bernie is the most under rated, unknown(outside of his home base)guitarist around considering his talents. He has a mastery of many styles and seamlessly integrates them. Highly original and my favorite blues rocker by far..I'd love to catch a live show...
