Lionel Loueke is a premier new talent on the international market. Lionel has recently toured and recorded with; Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Charlie Hayden, Terrance Blanchard, as well as his own trio. Lionel is a jazz guitarist of unique talent. Mixing his native African rhythms with traditional jazz language, Lionel's playing and singing are extrodinary.

Jim Stinnett is a performer and educator of the highest caliber. Jim is currently a professor at Berklee College Of Music. Jim's publications include the highly acclaimed "The Music Of Paul Chambers", "Creating Jazz Bass Lines", and "Reading In Bass Clef." Jim is also the founder the "Bass Workout".


Friends is the culmination of a fruitful collaboration between Lionel and Jim. The duo tracks are quite telepathic. This session also features drummer extraordnaire Joe Hunt.
