This is old-time string band acoustic music, capturing the sound and spirit of old-time Appalachian mountain music. Traditional and original songs, filled with upbeat danceable tunes and enchanting melodies, featuring Fiddle, Banjo, Guitar and Bass.

A Featured artist at the Albany Rhythm on the Ridge Bluegrass Festival, and Regulars at the Clifftop Appalachian String Band Festival in West Virginia The Stoddard Hollow String Band has performed with Jay Ungar &Molly Mason, The Horseflies, & The Horseshoe Lounge Boys among others.

The Band regularly plays throughout the historic copperstown / cherry valley area representing the traditional regional music.
Also Appearing at festivals, parties and weddings the band is a local favorite throughout the Catskill and Leatherstocking regions of Upstate New York.

Our Fiddler Marvin Zachow grew up learning music from the old local fiddler who played for square dances and contra dances in the area.
Ed Mcgee our claw hammer open back banjo player captures the scale, presence and echo's of the wooded mountains with every note.
Backed by Frank Frazzitta on Guitar and Joel Murray on Stand-up Bass, this is rocking, good time, acoustic music that no barn dance should be without.
