ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Black & Blue Restoration", (released in July 2008) is Surviving the Odyssey's second full CD release! This album features melodic guitar work, harmonic vocal polyphonies, hypnotic synthesizers, and energetically insane electro beats! With a refreshing fusion of Progressive Rock, Electronica, Industrial, UK inspired Trip-Hop and Acid Jazz, this CD release is sure to take you on a fascinating musical journey! Black & Blue Restoration is some of STO's best work yet! You can expect much more to come from this talented band, as this is just only the beginning!

The band, Surviving the Odyssey, has attained much press, been featured on several music compilations, played many live shows, receives continuous radio play, and has accumulated countless fans and admirers in just three short years since arriving on today's music scene. STO has several music videos, and has opened up for national acts such as Android Lust (Projekt Records), Interface (Nilaihah Records), Rein[Forced] (DSBP Records), Fr/Action (Cohaagen Records).

Here is just some of the press that Surviving the Odyssey has gained:

"There's a little bit of everything for synthaholics everywhere looking for new twists on old tricks to whet their collective aural palates" — Poseidon Gothic Beauty Magazine - Issue 23

..."The Pittsburgh-based group is a result of some intense creative wandering. How else do you end up with three outlandishly clad musicians playing a melange of electronic and pop music, who answer to the names Odd, Indigo and Krimson?" — by Aaron Jentzen - ajentzen@steelcitymedia.com Pittsburgh City Paper article - Issue 44 Page 24

A fan of contemporary electronic and trance music [I] can't help but respect the originality and imagination of these songwriters. — By Rick Szymanski April 2006 issue #12 of Music Under Ground Magazine
