From the "Bayou City" of Houston Texas, the STONE KINGS are quickly rising to the top of the Texas rock music scene. Using a deadly combination of thunderous rhythm, strong vocals, and melodic guitar, the STONE KINGS carve there own unique modern style while still showing due respect to the dozens of Texas artists that influence every note they play.
Four experienced, dedicated, and passionate musicians make up the band known as STONE KINGS. Randy Folk (lead vocals) has a tone that reminds most fans of the sweet sounds of Scott Weiland and Paul Rodgers. CJ Philpot takes care of the double bass drumming and percussion duties for the STONE KINGS. Eddie Lee King, on bass, is always a crowd favorite due to his high energy playing style. Matt Hoffpauir on guitars, grew up on other Texas guitar players such as Eric Johnson and Ty Tabor, so playing that mean Texas sound comes naturally to him.
The STONE KINGS new album titled "Tomorrow Is Now" captures an truly honest representation of the rock style they deliver in their live performance. The albums nine tracks show a huge range of influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Kings X, ZZ Top, Audio Slave, Stone Temple Pilots, Bad Company, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many more great rock artists. "Tommorow Is Now" has something for everyone, from hard driving rockers to delicate acoustic ballads, and even instrumental rock!

THE STONE KINGS: Carved out of solid ROCK!!!
An exciting mix of Texas rock. Music from the soul is what they deliver. Whether it's a slow ballad juliette's tears or in your face fortune teller.
With Steve Owens on production and mixxing and Ty Tabor of Kings X doing the mastering did'nt hurt. When you combine the former with the Stone Kings you get:"TOMORROW IS NOW"
I highly recommend this cd for your Texas Rock cd collection.

Sincerity: alive and well

Sincerity is alive and well in the music of Stone Kings. In the wishy-washy, anyway the wind blows atmosphere that is prevalent in most new music; it is a rare and satisfying pleasure to hear music that you can feel. The Stone Kings have that feel element unique to the likes of Bad Company and Led Zeppelin; with fresh sincere sound that will make us all proud that they are Texans.
